On the 7th, the Wonmi Police Station in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, announced that they have arrested Mr. A, a man in his 30s, on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act and confinement, and Ms. B, a woman in her 40s, on charges of intimidation, and are investigating them.
Mr. A is suspected of taking Ms. B to a motel near Bucheon Station in Simgokbon-dong, Bucheon City, around 2 p.m. the previous day, confining her for about five hours, and possessing drugs.
Ms. B is accused of threatening Mr. A with a weapon she had while arguing with him inside and outside a car parked on the roadside near the motel around 8 p.m. the same day.
They were caught by the police who responded to a report from a passerby.
It was confirmed that Mr. A and Ms. B met through a chat app.
At the time of arrest, Mr. A was found with a small amount of drugs presumed to be methamphetamine and about ten syringes.
The police suspected drug use and attempted a simple reagent test on Mr. A, but it was aborted as he refused the test.
Ms. B’s simple reagent test result was positive. The drugs she used were investigated to be the ones Mr. A possessed.
Ms. B claimed to the police that "Mr. A forcibly injected methamphetamine and confined me," but Mr. A strongly denied this.
The police plan to send Mr. A’s urine and hair samples to the National Forensic Service to verify drug use.
