Musk: "Twitter Annual Revenue 6 Trillion Won → Targeting 33 Trillion Won by 2028"
The stock price fluctuation of Twitter is displayed on the ticker board of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in the United States.
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, has set a goal to increase the annual revenue of social media platform Twitter from $5 billion (6.3 trillion KRW) last year to $26.4 billion (33.5 trillion KRW) by 2028.
According to foreign media including the US daily The New York Times, Musk revealed this in materials presented to investors on the 7th (local time).
According to the materials, Twitter's advertising revenue is expected to be $12 billion (15.2 trillion KRW) in 2028, accounting for 45% of total revenue, down from 90% in 2020.
The materials also explained that Twitter will generate $10 billion (12.7 trillion KRW) in revenue from subscription services by 2028.
Additionally, it is expected to generate $15 million in revenue from payment services in 2023.
Average revenue per Twitter user is projected to increase from $24.83 last year to $30.22 in 2028.
The number of employees, currently about 7,500, is expected to increase to 11,072 by 2025.
The premium subscription service launched last year, 'Twitter Blue,' is expected to reach 69 million users by 2025.
Earlier, Musk promised to increase users by regulating spam bots and promoting freedom of expression after signing a contract to acquire Twitter for $44 billion (about 55 trillion KRW) on the 25th of last month.
