National Archives Shares Records Management Experience with Vietnam and Cambodia
Operation of Vietnam and Cambodia International Training Courses until the 13th... New Digital Records Management Training Course Established
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The National Archives of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced that from the 9th to the 13th, it will operate an international records management training course for 20 records management experts from Vietnam and Cambodia. Participants include officials from five institutions such as the National Archives, Legal Document Centers, and museums of Vietnam and Cambodia.
This training aims to share Korea's accumulated experience and achievements in digital records management and to explore development plans for digital records management in Vietnam and Cambodia. It is scheduled to be conducted over three years from 2022 to 2024. Recently, the Vietnamese government established and is implementing the Vietnam National Digital Transformation Plan (2025?2030), aiming to build a digital government, digital economy, and digital society.
This year's program includes ▲Understanding Korea's records management culture and digital records management policies ▲Digital records management laws and standards ▲Changes in digital records production environments and systems ▲Strategies, practical work, and support cases for digitizing records ▲Country-specific reports and action plans.
In particular, responding to requests from each country for sharing Korea's digital records management system and digital records management system development and operation cases, a new training course themed 'Digital Records Management' has been newly established and operated this year. It introduces Korea's records culture and digital records management system and shares development and operation cases of digital records production and management systems.
Additionally, considering the progress of digital records management and interests of Vietnam and Cambodia, customized discussion-based courses will be operated. Vietnam will discuss the topic of revising digital records management laws, while Cambodia will discuss the support status of Korea's Digital Government Cooperation Center and the progress of digital government.
