Former Gwangju Seo-gu Office Heads and Seo-gu Council Chairpersons Declare Support for Independent Preliminary Candidate Seodaeseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Former Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Office heads and Seo-gu Council chairpersons have come forward to support Seo Dae-seok, an independent preliminary candidate for Seo-gu Office head.
According to Seo Dae-seok's preliminary candidate election office on the 4th, seven people, including Lee Jeong-il, the first and second Seo-gu Office head, Cheon Hee-cheol, the first Seo-gu Council chairperson, Oh Hyang-seop, the second chairperson, Park Young-soo, the first half of the third chairperson, Kim Dong-sik, the second half of the third chairperson, Lee Gil-do, the first half of the fourth chairperson, Park Jong-ok, the second half of the fourth chairperson, and Kang Ki-seok, the fifth chairperson, visited Seo Dae-seok's election office to declare their support.
They stated, "The only way to revive the Democratic Party Gwangju City Party, which is currently broken and suffering, is to re-elect candidate Seo Dae-seok," and added, "Our former Seo-gu Office heads and council chairpersons will devote all their efforts to ensure Seo Dae-seok's victory."
Kim Jong-sik, the third and fifth Seo-gu Office head, and Jeon Ju-eon, the fourth Seo-gu Office head, who could not attend, also sent their support to candidate Seo Dae-seok.
Preliminary candidate Seo Dae-seok said, "With the support declaration from senior Seo-gu Office heads and council chairpersons, I have gained tremendous strength," and added, "I will surely achieve victory by borrowing the wisdom and experience of the seniors who declared their support today and repay the residents."
Seo Dae-seok's preliminary candidate election office plans to propose that those who declared support today serve as co-chief campaign committee members.
