RaonMedi and Yonsei University College of Dentistry Collaborate on AI-Based Dental Solution Validation and 3D Orthodontic Commercialization Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] RaonMedi, an AI medical solution specialist company spun off from RaonPeople, announced on the 4th that it has signed a joint research and development agreement with Yonsei University College of Dentistry for the 'Dental AI Convergence Medical Solution.'
Through this agreement, the two institutions plan to accelerate joint research and development in AI dental and dental medicine fields, including AI-based imaging diagnostic software they have been collaborating on, as well as 3D orthodontic software and dental application software.
Furthermore, through various joint projects and research and development, industry-academia cooperation will be strengthened, showcasing next-generation medical services that integrate big data and AI technology with advanced dental medical technology. To this end, the two institutions also signed a 'joint research and development agreement' that utilizes jointly funded academic research and development expenses and directly supports annual dental medicine research and development projects through open topic proposals.
The signing ceremony was attended by Lee Seokjung, CEO of RaonPeople and RaonMedi, Kim Euisung, Dean of Yonsei University College of Dentistry, Moon Seokjun, Vice Dean of Research, and other executives. They agreed to cooperate and support the release of solutions and products that can lead the global market in the field of AI convergence solutions for dental medical use.
Previously, RaonMedi established the 'AI Convergence Medical Research Institute' at Gwanghyegwan, Sinchon Severance Hospital, Yonsei Medical Center to enable rapid collaboration and optimal research outcomes, and began joint development of related solutions. With this new research and development agreement with the College of Dentistry, it is expected that the practical cooperative relationship in the dental medicine field will be further solidified alongside projects conducted with Yonsei University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation.

Additionally, RaonMedi will participate in the 'SIDEX 2022' exhibition held at COEX for three days starting on the 27th, where it will showcase the latest AI-based dental software capable of 'virtual orthodontic treatment planning software' and 'next-generation transparent orthodontic device printing.'
