Lotte Hi-Mart to Host Consumer Participation Rap Audition with Rapper Basick
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jin-young] Lotte Hi-Mart will hold the ‘Come to Hi-Mart and Sweep It Up Rap Audition’ at the Lotte Hi-Mart World Tower store located in Songpa-gu, Seoul, starting at 2 PM on the 8th. This is a consumer participation event where participants perform impromptu rap on-site and receive prize money according to the mission difficulty. Basic, the rapper who won the hip-hop survival program ‘Show Me the Money 4,’ will participate as a judge.
The missions are composed of three levels: high, medium, and low. Participants can choose one mission to rap. Depending on the difficulty level, cash prizes of 50,000 KRW, 30,000 KRW, and 10,000 KRW will be given immediately. The ‘high’ difficulty requires a 20-second freestyle rap challenge. The ‘medium’ difficulty requires a 15-second ‘Sweep It Up’ rap. The ‘Sweep It Up’ rap is the lyrics of the song ‘Come to Hi-Mart,’ produced in collaboration with rapper Basic last February. The ‘low’ difficulty requires reading the challenge phrase aloud with accurate pronunciation for 20 seconds. The challenge phrase can be checked on-site on the day of the event.
This rap audition is part of the ‘Brand Song Campaign’ conducted together with rapper Basic. Starting with the production and YouTube release of the ‘Come to Hi-Mart’ track last February, a ‘Sweep It All Up’ consumer response Reels challenge was held on Instagram. As the finale of the campaign, an offline event is being held in May to celebrate Family Month.
