Mayfield Hotel Seoul Engages with MZ Generation on Metaverse Platform

[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Mayfield Hotel Seoul has opened the Mayfield Hotel Land within the metaverse platform Ifland and announced on the 3rd that it will offer a differentiated experience connecting offline and virtual reality until the 1st of next month.
Ifland, operated by SK Telecom, is a metaverse platform based on various room themes where about 130 people can communicate in one space. The hotel stated that it aims to increase brand familiarity by providing hotel content and services to MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z) customers who are accustomed to digital environments and seek unique experiences through virtual spaces.
The Mayfield Hotel's representative festival, the 'Dionysos' Wine Fair, and the camping zone of 'Car Camping in the Garden Season 3,' where car camping and glamping can be enjoyed simultaneously, have been implemented in Ifland. Through an Instagram event, customers can experience the land space and communicate via live classes, allowing them to experience hotel content directly or indirectly.
Dionysos is a large-scale wine tasting event held on May 14 and 15 in the outdoor lawn garden. Car Camping in the Garden Season 3 is a package that allows guests to enjoy car camping in the hotel garden until July 10, in collaboration with MINI, a small premium imported car brand, and Coleman, a global camping brand.
Guests can take avatar certification photos in a forest resembling the Mayfield Hotel's outdoor space and post them on their personal Instagram accounts with the required hashtags to enter a drawing for prizes such as hotel accommodation vouchers and buffet restaurant Castle Terrace usage tickets. On May 9 and 24, two classes will be held: a wine class where the hotel sommelier suggests wines tailored to MBTI personality types, and a camping class offering car camping tips and camping gear recommendations for beginner campers. Participants in the classes will also have the chance to win various prizes through quiz events.
