Ok Mo (87), a terminal cancer patient, along with his family and volunteers, was invited by the event organizer to the ‘Jo Young-nam and Sseseebong’ concert held at BEXCO in Busan. Riding in the Ambulance Sowon Foundation’s ambulance and receiving care from the medical staff of Kosin University Hospital, they were able to enjoy a meaningful concert experience.
The Ambulance Sowon Foundation, established to fulfill the last outing wishes of terminal cancer patients, held an agreement and donation ceremony on April 20th, Disability Day, to donate an ambulance to Kosin University Gospel Hospital.
Kosin University Hospital serves as the regional base for the Ambulance Sowon Foundation in the Bu-Ul-Gyeong area, providing support to fulfill the wishes of terminal cancer patients for a day.
The eldest daughter who accompanied her father on this special outing said, “Because we have always lived under the tension caused by our strict father while each busy with our own lives, we never had the chance to communicate warmly and watch a performance together. Singing along with the songs performed by the singers with my father felt like receiving a memory that will last a lifetime,” wiping away tears.
During the concert, Sseseebong member Yoon Hyung-joo mentioned, “Today, through the medical staff of Kosin University Hospital and the Ambulance Sowon Foundation vehicle, a very special audience member is here,” gifting Ok grandfather, who joined the outing, a memory to cherish forever.
HiFamily, which operates the Ambulance Sowon Foundation, expressed gratitude to Kosin University Hospital for their generous support of the first wish outing in the Bu-Ul-Gyeong region, stating, “This outing not only provided healing time for patients who find it difficult to leave their beds but also became a great hope that many patients’ wishes can be fulfilled.”
