Dongyang Life Insurance Donates Guardian Angel Umbrellas to Green Umbrella Child Fund
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Dongyang Life Insurance announced on the 3rd that it delivered 1,400 guardian angel 'Gelodi' umbrellas worth 10 million KRW to the Child Rights Advocacy Organization Green Umbrella Children's Foundation in celebration of Children's Day on the 5th.
The umbrellas feature Dongyang Life Insurance's guardian angel character, Gelodi. The company explained that since the umbrella gift carries the meaning of "I will protect you no matter what," it symbolizes that the guardian angel Dongyang Life Insurance will protect children rain or shine.
The umbrellas delivered to the Green Umbrella Children's Foundation will be distributed to lower-grade elementary school students and preschool children nationwide through five institutions, including Hansarang Disabled Infant Home in Gwangju, Gyeonggi Province, and comprehensive social welfare centers in Daegu, Busan, and Jeju.
