Starting with the Central Research Institute located in the Daedeok Research Complex on the 29th of last month, Kumho Petrochemical will provide customized education on ESG regulations and policies for each business site this month at its synthetic rubber, synthetic resin, and fine chemicals plants in Ulsan and Yeosu. The program teaches the roadmap for carbon-neutral growth, Kumho Petrochemical's ESG vision, strategic tasks for vision implementation, and ways to internalize ESG tasks in each division. After completing training for the management division at headquarters next month, the company plans to expand the scope and content of the academy program for the second half of the year.
The program is organized and conducted by the Kumho Petrochemical ESG Committee and ESG Management Team, established last year. The company explains that it is very important for executives and employees working on the front lines of environmental safety activities, such as those handling petrochemical facilities and various research facilities at the Central Research Institute, to understand ESG activities concretely and apply them to their work.
