On this day, Deputy Mayor Jang Su-wan will preside over the first monthly work plan briefing as Acting Mayor in the city hall situation room.
Executives including department and bureau heads will attend the briefing to review the progress of major pending projects and share the May work plans by department and bureau.
Article 124, Paragraph 2 of the Local Autonomy Act stipulates that when the head of a local government runs for the local government head election while holding office, the deputy head acts on behalf of the local government head from the day the candidate registers as a preliminary candidate or candidate until the election day.
Deputy Mayor Jang Su-wan will serve as Acting Mayor of Ulsan until June 1, the day of the 8th nationwide simultaneous local elections.
