View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] SK Lubricants women's handball team SK Sugar Gliders announced on the 1st that they conducted the 'Anyangcheon Environmental Cleanup Sanhaejinmi Plogging' campaign with Gwangmyeong citizens and SK Sugar Gliders at Anyangcheon in Gwangmyeong City, their home base, on the 30th of last month.
Sanhaejinmi Plogging is a campaign by SK Innovation affiliates to pick up waste such as discarded plastics as part of practical ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) management and efforts to solve environmental issues. About 200 people participated, simultaneously carrying out Sanhaejinmi Plogging and Anyangcheon river cleanup activities. Local partner organizations such as the Gwangmyeong Volunteer Center, Gwangmyeong Sports Council, Gwangmyeong Handball Association, Parents' Association for People with Developmental Disabilities, Youth Developmental Disabilities Association, SK Sugar Gliders fan supporters, and the cheering squad for people with developmental disabilities 'Sugather' also joined, adding significance to the event.
Kim Jeonghun, head of SK Sugar Gliders, said, "It was a very meaningful time for the players to create social value pursued by SK in the local community through environmental cleanup activities with citizens and handball fans in Gwangmyeong, the team's home base," and added, "We will continue to grow as a team that actively communicates with fans and coexists with the local community."
