[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Sehee] The prosecution investigating allegations of a blacklist in the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy summoned former Korea Resources Corporation (KORES) President Kim Young-min as a witness for questioning.
The Criminal Division 6 of the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors' Office summoned former KORES President Kim as a witness this morning and questioned him for about two and a half hours. KORES was one of the eight institutions related to the Ministry that the prosecution raided last month.
After the questioning, former President Kim told reporters, "Since I was a public official, it is difficult to provide specific explanations." It was confirmed that Kim had been investigated in connection with this matter three years ago.
