Busan City Supports Local SMEs' Participation in Domestic Exhibitions and Fairs ... New Market Development!
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] Busan City is partnering with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency to support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in participating in domestic exhibitions and fairs to help them develop new sales channels.
The application period is from the 27th of last month until the 17th of this month, and SMEs with headquarters or factories located in Busan are eligible to apply.
Companies that receive participation fee support for the same exhibition from the government, local governments, or SME-related organizations; companies participating in group booths organized by the government, local governments, or associations; simple distribution or wholesale and retail businesses; entertainment and leisure industries; inappropriate industries such as unhealthy amusement products or alcohol brokerage are not eligible to apply.
The city will select about 50 companies and support 80% of the participation costs for exhibitions and fairs held domestically. The support limit per company is 2 million KRW.
Exhibitions held within Busan or online exhibitions are excluded from the support target.
Companies wishing to apply can refer to the announcement on the Busan Economic Promotion Agency website and submit their applications via email.
More than 120 events are scheduled to take place this year in the Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon metropolitan areas, and with the recent lifting of social distancing measures, large-scale fairs and exhibitions are preparing to open one after another.
Accordingly, the city expects this project to provide local SMEs with opportunities to actively promote the excellence of their products beyond Busan to other regions.
