Goyang-si Supports 'Jeon-Wolse Loan Interest' for Childbirth Households Without Homes
6.8 Billion KRW Paid to 693 Households This Year
Up to 4 Million KRW Over 4 Years for One Child Only
[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] Goyang City supports loan interest for housing loan for households without housing who have given birth.
The city announced on the 28th that "6.8 billion KRW was paid to 693 households without housing who have given birth."
For households without housing who had children born or adopted last year, loan interest equivalent to 1.8% of the balance of jeonse or monthly rent loan funds is supported up to 1 million KRW per child, with a maximum of 4 million KRW over 4 years for one child.
By the end of February, 728 households applied, and the city selected a final 693 households and paid 6.8 billion KRW.
If the household meets the criteria of 150% or less of the median income and no housing ownership, they can reapply annually and receive support for up to 4 years.
However, if they do not reapply the following year, support will be discontinued, and even if they meet the support conditions later, they cannot receive support.
A city official said, "We will implement various policies so that children can be born with peace of mind without the burden of housing costs."

Meanwhile, the loan interest support project for jeonse or monthly rent funds for households without housing who give birth or adopt children this year is scheduled to be announced in January next year.
