A Man in His 40s, Harboring Grudge After Argument, Leaves Animal Carcass at House Entrance, Arrested by Police
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 40s was arrested by the police on charges of sending threatening messages and leaving animal carcasses at the victim's doorstep after holding a grudge following an argument.
The Yangcheon Police Station in Seoul announced on the 26th that they apprehended a man in his 40s, identified as Mr. A, on the 21st at 5:09 PM at a building located in Mokdong, Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, on charges of intimidation.
Mr. A is accused of sending threatening messages to a female acquaintance in her 40s, Ms. B, on the same day and abandoning a cat carcass in front of her house.
According to the police, Ms. B received messages from Mr. A stating his intention to continue sending cat carcasses to her doorstep. After confirming a plastic bag containing a cat carcass, she felt anxious and lingered near a nearby police substation.
The police reassured Ms. B, accepted her report, and dispatched officers to her residence to conduct an on-site investigation.
Subsequently, after reviewing nearby closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the police tracked Mr. A and escorted him voluntarily to the nearby police substation. Upon admitting to the crime, Mr. A was arrested.

A police official stated, “The case has been filed and is currently under investigation,” adding, “In addition to the intimidation charges, we will conduct a comprehensive review to determine if there are any other charges.”
