Ulsan City Conducts 'Foreign Counselor Specialized Training'
Expected to Resolve Foreign Residents' Issues and Support Daily Convenience
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is conducting specialized training for counselors who handle life consultations for foreign residents. In Ulsan, the number of foreign residents has surpassed more than one per 100 people in the population.
On the 27th, Ulsan City announced that it will provide specialized counseling training for foreign resident counselors at the Ulsan Global Center and district/county family centers to actively respond to the administrative needs of foreign residents.
The training, held over two days on the 27th and 28th at the City Hall Information Education Center, covers topics such as wages and employment, health insurance, immigration and visas, divorce, and family law.
This training was designed based on an analysis of counseling cases at consultation desks, focusing on practical life-related issues frequently requested by foreign residents.
An official from Ulsan City stated, “We plan to strengthen counseling capabilities to provide more professional and practical relief for the daily inconveniences faced by foreign residents.”
