The Securities and Futures Commission Discloses Improvement Recommendations from Inspections of 13 Accounting Firms Including Samil
[Asia Economy Reporter Ji Yeon-jin] The Financial Services Commission's Securities and Futures Commission announced on the 27th that it will disclose improvement recommendations for 13 accounting firms, including Samil Accounting Corporation, out of the 40 accounting firms registered as auditors for listed companies.
As a result, improvement recommendations from quality control inspections have been disclosed for 27 of the 40 registered accounting firms, and the remaining 13 registered accounting firms that have not yet had their improvement recommendations disclosed will undergo auditor inspections this year and have the results published.

The Securities and Futures Commission stated, "Through the disclosure of improvement recommendations, we actively encourage substantial improvements in the quality control operations of accounting firms, and expect that companies and investors will be able to use this information as useful data in their evaluation and selection decisions regarding auditors."
