Every year, the Department of Oriental Painting organizes a Korea-China painting exhibition where master's and doctoral students, SIG course researchers, and faculty members participate to share the outcomes of their artwork research.
Under the theme "Being Myself - The Beginning of Change," this year's special exhibition features works by 12 Korean artists including Professors Jeong Hwang-rae, Lee Jong-pil, and Hwang Hyo-sil, as well as 22 Chinese artists such as Ha Wook-sung, Ha San-san, Lee Seol, Oh Hyo-cheong, Gyo Rak, and Yoo Jang-ryang.
Researchers from both countries explored changes in color ink creation manifested in landscape paintings, portraits, and color paintings, interpreting them through various formal languages of Oriental painting.
