Jangseong-gun, Yellow Art Street Gains Attention as a Healing Spot

[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeonbuk, is creating beautiful scenery by planting spring flowers and trees in urban spaces.

According to the county on the 25th, the most eye-catching place is the ‘Noran Yesul Street,’ a quiet deck path that connects under Cheongun Bridge in Jangseong-eup to Hwangmir Land upstream of Hwangryong River.

As you leisurely walk toward Hwangryong River, golden locust trees standing side by side on both sides of the path reveal their graceful appearance.

It is so fantastic that it reminds one of a landscape painting. It is a hidden healing spot in Jangseong known only to those who know.

The county also planted abundant baby’s breath and poppies here. They are expected to bloom fully next month, providing the joy of viewing.

The change near National Road No. 1 in Danggwang-ri, Jangseong-eup, which was almost colorless, is also noticeable. The county is harmoniously planting golden euonymus, red robin, evergreen shrubs, and herbaceous plants here to create a street flower bed.

Earlier this year, the county signed a contract for detailed design services and street flower bed creation projects and began full-scale flower bed construction at the end of March.

Currently, planting work is underway, and drainage channels will be installed, and additional grass will be planted.

A county official said, “To make visits to Jangseong a beautiful and precious memory, we will plant various spring flowers and herbaceous plants to complete a romantic spring landscape.”

Meanwhile, the county is planting one billion spring flowers such as daylilies, marigolds, and poppies along a 3.2 km section of Hwangryong River.

The blooming period is expected around mid-next month, and the county plans to operate a COVID-19 safety quarantine period to safely prepare for situations where large crowds gather.
