Gwangju Urban Railway Celebrates 18th Anniversary with Various Events
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] Gwangju Metro, which will celebrate its 18th anniversary of opening on the 28th, will hold various citizen participation events.
The Gwangju Urban Railway Corporation plans to designate the period from the 21st of this month to the 1st of next month as the '18th Anniversary Opening Commemoration Week' and offer vitality for daily recovery to local residents through diverse ESG events such as a green transportation promotion campaign.
On the first day, at Sangmu Station, an event called ‘Donate and Bloom for 화i-ting’ will be held together with Beautiful Store, Gwangju Green Environment Support Center, and others.
At this event, citizen education on resource circulation will be provided, and usable items will be collected from citizens. Those who donate three or more items will receive commemorative gifts such as mini flower pots.
In addition, various programs will be held both online and offline, including a special one-day honorary stationmaster invitation for sister schools, an eco-friendly recycling SNS contest, enjoying green transportation through the metaverse, a public transportation usage pledge challenge, a drawing contest for children called Sing-a, a special photo exhibition of Mudeungsan, and safety and integrity campaigns.
