According to the Bank of Korea on the 20th, Governor Lee will hold an inauguration ceremony at 3 p.m. on the 21st at the convention hall on the first floor of the Booyoung Taepyeong Building in Jung-gu, Seoul, which was used as the task force (TF) office for the National Assembly confirmation hearing.
President Moon Jae-in originally planned to present the appointment letter to the Bank of Korea Governor at 3 p.m. on the same day but postponed the ceremony.
On that day, the Blue House announced through a notice that "the scheduled presentation ceremony has been postponed." A Blue House official explained, "The confirmation hearing report adopted by the National Assembly has not yet been submitted."
The National Assembly's Strategy and Finance Committee adopted the confirmation hearing report on the candidate without a vote at the plenary meeting held the previous afternoon.
In the report, the Strategy and Finance Committee stated, "The candidate served as a professor in the Department of Economics at Seoul National University, conducting research on economic issues such as responses to the foreign exchange crisis. He also held positions such as Vice Chairman of the Financial Services Commission and Head of the Planning and Coordination Division of the G20 Summit Preparatory Committee, gaining government practical experience. Furthermore, he has been recognized for his diverse policy expertise and international experience through roles such as Senior Economist at the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Director for Asia and Pacific at the International Monetary Fund (IMF)."

A Bank of Korea official said, "Due to the postponement of the appointment letter presentation ceremony according to the Blue House schedule, the inauguration ceremony originally planned for the morning of the 21st was also rescheduled to the afternoon."
