Wanju-gun Operates Climate Change Week in Agriculture Sector
Launching a Carbon Neutrality Campaign Encouraging Voluntary Participation of Farmers
[Wanju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Han-ho] Wanju County announced on the 20th that it will operate the "Agricultural Sector Climate Change Week" from the 22nd to the 28th of this month, together with the Rural Development Administration and local rural development institutions nationwide.
This Climate Change Week will be promoted through various methods such as education and publicity to create a voluntary practice movement atmosphere for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the agricultural sector.
Above all, during meetings of village chiefs and women's association heads, as well as agricultural education sessions, key reduction technologies such as water management for rice paddies, tillage management techniques, direct seeding cultivation, fertilizer use through farmland soil testing, and the use of controlled-release fertilizers will be introduced.
