Promotion of Korean Medicine Infertility Treatment Cost Support Project Continues This Year Following Last Year
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Ulsan City is launching a project to assist couples experiencing difficulties with pregnancy.
On the 19th, Ulsan City announced that it will promote the "2022 Oriental Medicine Infertility Treatment Support Project" for infertile couples.
This project aims to reduce the financial burden on infertile couples struggling with pregnancy and strengthen women's physical functions to enable natural pregnancy and childbirth. Since the second half of last year, it has been implemented in cooperation with the Ulsan Oriental Medicine Association through a business agreement.
This year, a total of 30 people will be supported. So far, 4 people have received support.
Women aged 44 or younger (born after 1978) who have been registered residents of Ulsan City for at least one year as of the application date and have experienced infertility for more than one year can apply regardless of income. Overlapping support with Western medicine infertility treatments is not allowed.
If selected as a beneficiary, applicants will receive Oriental medicine infertility treatment, including herbal medicine intake, for three months at one of 15 designated Oriental medicine clinics. The support amount is up to 1.8 million KRW.
Those wishing to participate in the project can inquire at the Ulsan Oriental Medicine Association and submit documents such as an infertility diagnosis and application form.
