"Back to Hometown" Poland Surpasses Ukraine in Border Crossings for the First Time
[Asia Economy Reporter Buaeri] For the first time since Russia invaded Ukraine, the number of people entering Ukraine from Poland has exceeded those heading from Ukraine to Poland.
On the 18th (local time), US CNN reported, citing the Polish Border Guard, that on the 15th, 25,100 people entered Ukraine from Poland, while 24,400 entered Poland from Ukraine. On the 16th, the numbers were 22,000 and 19,200 respectively.
These figures include volunteers who frequently cross the border.
Since Russia's invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2.7 million people have fled from Ukraine to Poland.

However, as Russia targets eastern Ukraine, some Ukrainians who had left for Poland or other countries are returning home.
