Kakao Expands Hosting of 'Kakao Business Seminar'
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Kakao announced on the 18th that it will expand and operate the ‘Kakao Business Seminar,’ which anyone interested in business can participate in, with various topics.
The Kakao Business Seminar is a regular educational program that introduces Kakao’s advertising and business platforms and delivers marketing know-how. The seminar, which was held offline, was converted to a non-face-to-face format from September 2020 and is now conducted online. As of now, out of a total of about 55,000 cumulative applicants, more than 90% are small business owners. After the site was revamped last March, about 10,000 people applied in one month.
Kakao has broadened the topics from the existing seminars focused on introducing business platforms and know-how to create new lectures that provide practical help to small business owners for mutual growth. This month, ahead of the comprehensive income tax filing in May, it prepared tax-specialized lectures explaining the filing procedures and methods by business type, tax-saving strategies, as well as startup success case lectures that enhance overall understanding of business operations such as sales strategies and branding know-how.
In addition, Kakao is operating topic-specific lectures on how to apply Kakao’s platforms to business, such as linking with KakaoTalk channels and utilizing business forms, and message creative trends. The lectures are classified by difficulty into beginner, basic, and advanced levels, allowing participants to choose accordingly.
Business owners who wish to participate in the seminar can select the desired lecture and submit an application form by accessing the ‘Kakao Business’ homepage or adding the KakaoTalk channel. During the lectures, the presenter and participants can communicate in real time, and time is allocated for direct Q&A on any questions.
