Gwangju Employment Office, Special Inspection of Yeocheon NCC Yeosu Plant
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Employment and Labor Office will conduct a special inspection of the Yeocheon NCC Yeosu (1~4) plant, where a recent explosion accident occurred.
The special inspection will be carried out over two weeks until the 29th, with a total of 41 labor inspectors and experts from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency reviewing overall compliance with the Industrial Safety and Health Act.
In particular, the inspection will thoroughly verify compliance with explosion prevention measures such as safety precautions before work related to the accident, adherence to safe work procedures, maintenance status of aging equipment, piping, and valves, as well as the implementation of maintenance and repair work procedures.
