"What Are Virtual Worlds and the Metaverse?" ... Ulsan Gangbuk Office of Education Hosts 'Understanding the Metaverse' Parent Education Program
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Du-yeol] The Ulsan Gangbuk Office of Education Support conducted an online 'Understanding Metaverse Parent Education' for parents of kindergarten, elementary, and middle school students.
Metaverse is a combination of 'meta,' meaning transcending or beyond, and 'universe,' meaning world, signifying a 'world where reality and virtuality coexist.'
The parent education was designed to understand what the metaverse is, why it is a craze, through representative platforms and operational cases, and to experience it firsthand through practical exercises.
The education began with the first theoretical lecture on the metaverse by instructor So Byung-gu, director of the Metaverse Education Research Institute.
In the second session, participants practiced by creating a meeting space in a virtual environment using a smartphone application, taking group photos, and solving OX quizzes.
