A man in his 30s searched behind the house to collect evidence of his boss's affair... Suspended sentence
Evidence Collected Was Also Given to the 'Bulryunnam's' Wife
[Asia Economy Reporter Oh Gyumin] A man in his 30s who was prosecuted for secretly searching the house suspecting the infidelity of the company president he worked for was sentenced to probation in the first trial.
On the 17th, Judge Yoon Angji of Criminal Division 10 at the Seoul Western District Court announced that Mr. A (30), who was indicted for residential search, was sentenced to six months in prison with a two-year probation.
Judge Yoon pointed out, "The crime was committed for the purpose of collecting evidence regarding the affair between shopping mall presidents Mr. B and Mr. C, who are unrelated to the defendant," and added, "The collected materials were provided to Mr. C's wife so that they could be submitted as evidence in a civil lawsuit between Mr. B and Mr. C's wife."
However, Judge Yoon stated the sentencing reasons, saying, "The method and extent of the search were somewhat mild," and "The defendant has no prior criminal record and is remorseful for his wrongdoing."
Mr. A is accused of searching the bathroom and bedroom of the residence and office of Mr. B, the shopping mall president he worked for, around mid-November 2019, with the intent to find evidence of Mr. B's affair.
