Jinju-si Offers Prizes to Local Tax Honest Payers... Promoting a Culture of Honest Tax Payment
25,000 Winners to Receive 50,000 Won Onnuri Gift Certificates Each
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City in Gyeongnam held an event giving prizes to local tax faithful taxpayers.
This prize drawing was organized to express gratitude to citizens who faithfully paid local taxes despite the difficult economic conditions caused by COVID-19, and to foster a culture that favors faithful taxpayers.
The city plans to hold another prize drawing in the second half of the year.
Among about 56,000 taxpayers of the 2021 regular automobile tax and the 2022 automobile tax, 250 were selected by drawing.
The prize consists of Onnuri gift certificates worth 50,000 KRW per person to revitalize the local economy of Jinju City.
The drawing was conducted through a random computerized selection method using the local tax information system to enhance transparency and fairness.
Winners can be confirmed on the Jinju City website, and gift certificates along with a letter of appreciation will be sent by mail.
