Kolon Series, Kim Jungman Collaborate on 'Moving Gallery' Project
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Kolon Industries FnC Division (Kolon FnC), which operates the men's clothing brand Series, announced on the 15th that it will carry out the 'Moving Gallery' project in collaboration with photographer Kim Joongman.
This project is an art-sharing initiative that aims to create a moving gallery by putting the photographer's works on T-shirts. Since its inception in 2010, it has collaborated with leading domestic photographers such as Noh Soon-taek, Koo Sung-soo, Sung Nam-hoon, Cho Nam-ryong, and Min Byung-heon. Marking its fifth edition, this project has partnered with photographer Kim Joongman.
For this Moving Gallery project, six works were selected, including Kim Joongman's 'Under' series, a project photographing trees over nine years, and these were printed on four types of T-shirts. Since the method involves printing the works as they are, the T-shirts were designed in achromatic colors such as white and gray to best express the artworks. Additionally, the T-shirts and the printed works are packaged together so that customers can enjoy both the clothing and the art simultaneously.
