Daejeon City Supports AI Data Production Companies... Up to 60 Million KRW Per Company
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 15th that it will promote the '2022 Artificial Intelligence Learning Data Production Support Project' targeting local companies.
The project aims to support startups producing AI learning data using various data obtained locally and to promote the use of AI by local companies through the demonstration of products and services utilizing AI learning data.
The project is managed by Daejeon Technopark. It connects companies possessing AI technology with demand companies seeking to adopt the technology and supports labor costs for personnel producing learning data.
It also plans to support the process of discovering demand sources that require learning data produced by public institutions and companies.
Anyone can participate in learning data production after receiving certain training, enabling employment opportunities for career-interrupted women, youth, the elderly, and people with disabilities. Through this, the city expects to provide digital public jobs to vulnerable employment groups.
The support targets companies or institutions capable of producing AI learning data, which as of the announcement date have at least one headquarters, factory, or research institute located in Daejeon, or have relocated at least one of these to Daejeon before the application deadline.
Companies wishing to participate in the project can apply through the Daejeon Technopark Business Information Management System from the 25th to the 27th.
The city and Daejeon Technopark will select five companies through preliminary review and presentation evaluation and plan to support each company with up to 60 million KRW.
For more detailed information about the project, please refer to the announcement posted on the Daejeon Technopark website.
