Jeep Wagoneer L, Unveiled for the First Time at New York Auto Show
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] Jeep unveiled the new large sport utility vehicle (SUV) Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L for the first time at the 2022 New York International Auto Show, which opened on the 13th (local time). This model extends the wheelbase of the brand's flagship Wagoneer by approximately 305 mm. With an overall length of 5758 mm, it offers a maximum cargo space of 1251 liters without folding the third row, an increase of 447 liters compared to the previous model.
The new Wagoneer Carbide trim was also introduced this time. It features black exterior elements such as wheels, sunroof, and rails. Along with this, Jeep's parent company Stellantis unveiled for the first time the new 6-cylinder twin-turbo engine called the Hurricane twin-turbo engine, which replaces the existing V8 engine. This engine was developed by Stellantis to achieve carbon neutrality goals, delivering higher power and torque than the previous V8 while improving fuel efficiency by about 15%. It will be installed in the newly revealed Wagoneer L and Grand Wagoneer L models.

Another brand under Stellantis, Chrysler, showcased a new design model of the Airflow concept car, first revealed at CES in January this year, at the New York International Auto Show. The brand plans to launch its first battery electric vehicle in 2025.
