The Daejeon District Court's 12th Criminal Division (Presiding Judge Na Sang-hoon) announced on the 14th that it sentenced A (23), who was indicted for violating the Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles Against Sexual Abuse, to seven years in prison. Additionally, he was ordered to attend 40 hours of sexual violence treatment lectures and was banned from employment at child and youth-related institutions for 10 years.
The court stated the sentencing reasons, saying, "The nature of the crime against young victims is extremely serious, and the victims' side has requested severe punishment," and "considering that the defendant admitted to the crime and showed remorse."
Earlier, A was brought to trial on charges of deceiving male elementary school students and others for eight months starting from April last year by promising to give out game items, and demanding and receiving nude photos.
