Hong Kyung-hee, deputy spokesperson for the Transition Committee, stated at a briefing at the Transition Committee office in Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 13th, "The 100-Day COVID-19 Roadmap project will be revised from the originally announced four promotion directions to five by adding a 'Comprehensive Package for Small Business Owners' Loss Compensation.' Currently, the Special Committee's Livelihood Economy Subcommittee is conducting a detailed review based on the first estimated scale and target. Compensation plans, including payment scale and methods, are being examined in detail according to scenarios based on the scale and targets of losses."
Previously, the Special Committee proposed four promotion directions: ▲ quarantine policies based on scientific evidence ▲ sustainable and efficient infectious disease response systems ▲ stronger protection for high-risk and vulnerable groups ▲ securing safe vaccines and sufficient therapeutics. Compensation for small business owners' losses will now be added to these.
