"Nongshim Promotes Eco-Friendly Packaging Simplification for Dungji Naengmyeon"
[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nongshim is simplifying the packaging of Dungji Naengmyeon.
On the 13th, Nongshim announced that it has changed the bundle packaging method of Dungji Naengmyeon 4-packs from the previous vinyl repackaging to a band wrap. This is the second case following Saengsaeng Udon, which was simplified in June last year.
The new Dungji Naengmyeon packaging uses a sticker band to combine the 4 products, and the company expects to reduce the annual use of plastic film by about 27 tons.
Nongshim is actively pursuing eco-friendly ramen packaging practices. In January, it replaced the bundle packaging of Mupama Tangmyeon with transparent vinyl to improve recycling efficiency, and last year, it changed the film packaging of Dungji Naengmyeon to a single material and switched the container of Keunsabalmyeon from PSP material to paper.
