President-elect Yoon to Announce Additional Appointments Today at 2 PM
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] President-elect Yoon Seok-yeol will announce the second round of additional cabinet appointments on the 13th in the afternoon.
Bae Hyun-jin, the spokesperson for the president-elect, stated during a briefing held at the Presidential Transition Committee office in Tongui-dong, Seoul, that "The additional appointment press conference will be held today at 2 p.m., with President-elect Yoon personally conducting it here at the press conference room."
Currently, appointments remain for 10 ministries, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Social Affairs and Minister of Education, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Unification, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Ministry of Employment and Labor, Ministry of SMEs and Startups, Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and Ministry of Environment.
It is known that at least 7 to 8, and possibly up to 10 ministers, along with some appointments for the Presidential Secretariat, will be announced on this day.
He explained, "As before, the president-elect will personally introduce the candidates. In the past, it was limited to nominating candidates, but this time, he will take a step further by standing at the press conference and introducing each cabinet nominee one by one because this is a responsible cabinet that will support the Yoon Seok-yeol administration and take responsibility for the lives of the people."
