On the 13th, the Ministry of Health and Welfare announced the enforcement of a partial amendment to the "Enforcement Rules of the Act on Guarantee of Convenience for Persons with Disabilities, the Elderly, Pregnant Women, etc."
Large supermarkets must provide at least three shopping carts for people with disabilities in the shopping cart storage area and inform customers that these carts are available for use.

Large-scale stores defined under the Distribution Industry Development Act, such as E-mart, Homeplus, and Hanaro Mart, are subject to this regulation. As of September last year, there are 426 such stores nationwide.
