View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] CU announced on the 13th that it is achieving results such as increased sales by conducting the 'Jump Up Project' targeting stores struggling due to the impact of COVID-19.
The Jump Up Project is a program that provides customized solutions for franchise stores experiencing poor sales due to changes in commercial districts, operational inexperience, and aging facilities. A win-win cooperation team composed of experts in various fields such as store facilities, operations, and marketing is dispatched on-site to carry out integrated store improvements. All costs are borne by the headquarters. About 170 stores participated in the first quarter of this year, and the sales of these stores increased by an average of 22.6% compared to the previous year.
At a store located in Changwon, the store display space was increased by about 70% compared to before to expand the introduction of new products and increase the number of products in top-selling categories. A tasting and resting area was also added targeting the nearby academy district commercial area. As a result, the number of customers increased by 30% compared to before in just one month. At a store in Jeju, ready-to-eat foods and ice cream were expanded according to the characteristics of the commercial district, resulting in sales increases of 76.0% and 35.4%, respectively.
