The slogan is 'Godae's Historical Culture, Today's Heritage, Tomorrow's Asset'
Promoting Regional Revitalization through Value Creation and Maintenance of Historical and Cultural Areas
The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 12th that it has established the 1st Basic Plan for the Maintenance of Historical and Cultural Areas, to be implemented by 2026, in order to systematically organize policies related to historical and cultural zones. Historical and cultural areas refer to regions that have produced historically significant heritage and formed unique identities. These include Goguryeo, Baekje, Silla, Gaya, Mahan, Tamna, Jungwon, and Yemak.
The maintenance plan was created based on the "Special Act on the Maintenance of Historical and Cultural Areas," which has been in effect since June of last year. The policy slogan is "Ancient History and Culture, Today's Heritage, Future Asset." The plan sets six major tasks, fifteen medium tasks, and thirty-four detailed tasks aimed at creating value in historical and cultural areas, revitalizing regions through maintenance, and promoting national governance of historical and cultural areas through participation and cooperation.
