'Virtual Human' Han Yua Releases New Song 'I Like That'... Full-Fledged Singer Debut
[Asia Economy Reporter Seungjin Lee] Virtual artist Han YuA, jointly produced by Smilegate and real-time content solution company Giant Step, will release her new song "I Like That" on all music platforms at 6 PM on the 12th.
Han YuA's stage name is YuA, and her debut song "I Like That" is a dance track featuring a striking melody. Smilegate created YuA's unique voice by collecting voice data from hundreds of people of various ages and synthesizing it using artificial intelligence (AI).
The overall production of YuA's first track was carried out in collaboration with CJ ENM and Smilegate. Producer Park Woo-sang, known for composing K-POP hits such as MAMAMOO's "HIP" and "You Better Know," Hwasa's "Maria" and "Twit," Chungha's "SNAPPING," as well as numerous drama OSTs including "Crash Landing on You" and "Mr. Sunshine," took charge of the lyrics and composition, drawing attention.
Additionally, the dance team "1MILLION Dance Studio," led by choreographer Lia Kim, with Dohee Kim overseeing choreography, was responsible for the dance. The music video was directed by Vikings League, who recently produced music videos for Hallyu-leading artists such as Red Velvet, Highlight, and IZ*ONE.
Baek Min-jung, Smilegate's Executive Director of IP Business, said, "We are delighted to finally release YuA's new song to the world. We have worked hard with top domestic teams to create great music and choreography, and this new song reflects that effort. We hope many people will find joy and comfort through YuA's first track."
