Boni IF, Last Year's Sales 248.2 Billion KRW... 27.2% Increase in One Year
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] BonIF recorded its highest-ever sales last year.
BonIF announced on the 11th that its sales last year were approximately 248.2 billion KRW, an increase of about 27.2% compared to the previous year (approximately 195.2 billion KRW). Operating profit was about 12.4 billion KRW, up about 167% from the previous year (approximately 4.6 billion KRW).
The total sales of franchise stores for Bonjuk, Bonjuk & Bibimbap, Bondosirak, and Bonsullongtang increased by 28.9% last year. Looking at the average monthly growth rate by brand, Bonjuk and Bonjuk & Bibimbap grew by 26.75%, Bondosirak increased by 2.5% over one year, and Bonsullongtang recorded a 13.6% increase in average monthly sales.
A BonIF official explained, "This is a meaningful indicator showing that not only the headquarters but also the headquarters and franchise stores have achieved balanced and mutual growth," adding, "Last year, the closure rate was maintained at the 1% level for Bonjuk and Bonjuk & Bibimbap, and at the 2% level for Bondosirak. Unlike the particularly high closure rate of 14.1% in the Korean food sector within the dining industry, it has maintained a stable level. A lower closure rate can also be interpreted as higher franchisee satisfaction." The number of BonIF's nationwide franchise stores increased from 1,906 in 2020 to 2,026 in 2021.

BonIF views this as the result of communication between the headquarters and franchise stores as well as providing support measures considering the demand and characteristics of each brand. Bonsullongtang has supported all advertising expenses from the headquarters since its launch and has applied initial stabilization policies such as lowering supply prices and royalties.
