Ko Yong-jin, the senior spokesperson for the Democratic Party, said in a written briefing that afternoon, "Kim has recently been raising social issues such as environmental protection and punishment for cat abuse offenders through SNS. The resumption of her SNS activity can only be seen as an attempt to engage in public activities as the spouse of the president-elect."
He pointed out, "During the last presidential election, there were controversies over plagiarism of theses and false academic and career credentials, but clear answers and responsible apologies were not made."
He continued, "It is an act of deceiving the public for Kim to act as if there are no suspicions and to engage in activities as the spouse of the president-elect," emphasizing, "If Kim intends to act as the president's wife after Yoon's inauguration, she must first resolve the public's suspicions surrounding her."
