[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] Jeon Hae-cheol, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, issued an emergency order to fully commit to life rescue efforts regarding the helicopter crash accident of the Jeju Coast Guard that occurred at around 1:32 a.m. on the 8th.
Minister Jeon instructed, "The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Ministry of National Defense, Coast Guard, and other related agencies should mobilize all available resources to fully focus on life rescue and pay special attention to the safety of rescue personnel." As of 3 a.m. that day, 3 out of 4 helicopter passengers were rescued, and 1 person was missing. Among the 3 rescued, 2 have died.
