Marriott International Donates Baby Products for Single Mother Families
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] Marriott International announced on the 7th that it delivered kits and baby clothes for single mothers to Aeranwon (a specialized facility for adolescent single mothers) in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Together with Love on the 31st of last month.
A total of 111 employees from 15 hotels nationwide participated in this donation activity for newborns in single-mother families, personally making and donating 111 newborn baby jackets and focus books. In addition, 71 pieces of baby clothes, including bodysuits, thermal wear, and hats, custom-made for children, were also shared.
Nam Gideok, the head of Marriott International Korea and the Philippines, said, "We are pleased to be able to offer even a small amount of support to the marginalized neighbors in our society who are going through even more difficult times due to COVID-19." He added, "Marriott International will continue to do its best to make meaningful contributions to local communities based on the 'Take Care' spirit, which prioritizes people as the highest value."
