Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Sells Tourist Packages with 75% Discount for Foreigners
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province is launching a global campaign to support the local tourism industry, which has been struggling due to COVID-19.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization announced on the 7th that it will start the '2022 Good Travel Global Campaign' from the 8th, offering up to 75% discounts on tourism products for overseas residents planning to visit Gyeonggi Province, foreign residents in Korea, and international students.
The campaign will run until the end of next month on major overseas online platforms such as Trip.com, Hanyumang, and Viator.
The global campaign covers a total of 11 tourist destinations, including the Icheon Pig Museum, Icheon Starlight Garden Universe, Hwaseong Yacht, and Pocheon Herb Island. In addition to these tourist sites, one-day tour products in Gyeonggi Province will also be sold. The target products include the Gapyeong Tour, which visits Seoul~Petite France~The Garden of Morning Calm~Seoul, and the Yongin Tour, which visits Seoul~Korean Folk Village~Everland~Seoul.
This campaign is structured so that when the tourism businesses offer a 10-50% discount, Gyeonggi Province covers 50% of the discounted price, providing an additional discount.
Tourism businesses can increase revenue through advance sales of products, and foreign tourists can purchase admission tickets to tourist sites at affordable prices, which is expected to revitalize tourism.
