According to the Changwon Jungbu Police Station on the 5th, two public officials are undergoing pre-indictment investigations on suspicion of violating the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act (Anti-Graft Act).
They are suspected of receiving financially inappropriate golf entertainment from businessmen and others at a golf course in Changwon, Gyeongnam, from 2019 until last year.
It is reported that they used aliases to conceal their identities and received VIP-level treatment from business operators, gaining financial benefits.
Under the Anti-Graft Act, public officials and providers who receive or give gifts worth more than 1 million won, regardless of job relevance, are subject to criminal punishment.
