KT Studio Genie and Content Affiliates Hold Contest... Grand Prize 100 Million Won
Regardless of Material or Genre... Targeting Series of 6 Episodes or More
[Asia Economy Reporter Minyoung Cha] KT Studio Genie announced on the 5th that it will hold the "1st KT Studio Genie Series Contest" starting from the 2nd of next month, together with KT group affiliates Genie Music, Millie's Library, and StoryWiz.
This contest was planned by KT Studio Genie to discover excellent IPs for original series production and to support talented creators. The total prize money amounts to 160 million KRW, including a grand prize of 100 million KRW, and the contest will run from May 2 to June 24.
Series scripts with a running time of over 45 minutes per episode and consisting of at least six episodes can apply regardless of genre or subject matter. After preliminary and final rounds, three works will be selected and announced in October: one grand prize winner and two excellence award winners.
Required submission documents include ▲a project proposal (within 20 A4 pages) and ▲scripts for four episodes (25 to 35 A4 pages per episode). A filmography can be optionally submitted according to the designated format and will only be used as reference material during the final evaluation stage. The winning works will be directly produced as original series by KT Studio Genie. Upon planning and development by KT Studio Genie, the selected series may be released as KT Studio Genie's original series through KT channels.
