[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongguk Lee] Gyeongbuk Province will hold the "2022 Gyeongsangbuk-do Skills Competition" over five days from the 4th to the 8th at nine local venues, including Gumi Geumoh Technical High School, to select outstanding skilled talents in the region.
This competition is hosted by Gyeongbuk Province and organized by the Korea Industrial Human Resources Corporation (Gyeongbuk Branch), the secretariat of the Gyeongbuk Skills Competition Committee, and will be held across nine venues in seven cities and counties within the province, divided by event categories.
This year, 413 competitors will participate in 50 newly added job categories, including cybersecurity, showcasing their honed skills.
Medalists (1st to 3rd place) will be exempted from the national technical qualification craftsman exam for their respective job categories and will qualify to participate in the National Skills Competition (August 29 to September 5, Gyeongnam Province).
To prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the competition, the opening ceremony and side events will be omitted, and each venue will appoint a quarantine officer to conduct disinfection before and after the events.
