Green Leading Company Development Project, Mid-sized Company Global Support Project Applications Open
Priority Expected for Companies Affected by Russia-Ukraine Conflict
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] KOTRA announced on the 1st that it will additionally recruit companies to participate in the 2022 Export Voucher Program. The Green Leading Company Development Project is recruiting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies related to the green industry, while the Mid-sized Company Global Support Project is recruiting general mid-sized companies. Companies affected by the Russia-Ukraine situation will be given preferential treatment during selection.
The Export Voucher Program provides SMEs and mid-sized companies with vouchers in the form of online coupons, allowing companies to freely select and use export support services within the voucher limit. Companies selected for the Mid-sized Company Global Support Project will receive online vouchers worth up to 200 million KRW, and companies selected for the Green Leading Company Project will receive online vouchers worth up to 100 million KRW. Interested companies can apply on the Export Voucher website.
Kim Yoon-tae, Head of KOTRA’s SME and Mid-sized Company Division, stated, “The Export Voucher Program is a demand-tailored project that allows companies to choose the export services they need.” He added, “Especially, companies affected by the Russia-Ukraine situation can utilize international shipping costs and services for discovering third-country markets outside Russia and Ukraine through the Export Voucher Program.”
Meanwhile, since February 18, KOTRA has been operating the ‘Russia-Ukraine Emergency Response Team’ to receive and support corporate difficulties. The Emergency Response Team helps affected companies diversify export markets by discovering potential buyers in third countries, and to resolve logistics difficulties by allowing return and detour shipping costs and local demurrage fees to be settled through the Export Voucher. It also provides logistics services such as local warehouse storage and inland transportation.
